Day 5

Aruba

Dutch influence still lingers on this balmy Caribbean Island. Aruba is a contrast: the islands arid interior is dotted with cactus & windswept divi-divi trees while secluded coves and sandy beaches make up its coast.

B, L, D

Day 6

Bonaire, Caribbean Netherlands

Bon Bini" welcomes you to Bonaire, a haven for diving and snorkeling. Enjoy kayaking, bird watching, and eco-tours, or explore the Dutch architecture in Kralendijk, the pristine coral reefs, or the scenic countryside. Whatever you decide to do in Bonaire, you are sure to have a fantastic time.

Day 8

Cartagena, Columbia

One of the more interesting cities on your itinerary steeped in history. This was the transit port for all the wealth Spain derived from South America. The famous "Old City" is comprised of 12 square blocks filled with attractions, boutiques and restaurants. Your journey here will provide you with a significant link to the region's grand past.

Day 9

Panama Canal Partial Transit/New Locks

The Panama Canal, a marvel of 20th-century engineering, crosses a narrow isthmus with a vibrant history of Spanish conquistadors, English pirates, and 49ers. You'll want to be on deck early this morning as we enter this famous canal and hear the narration as we go thru the locks. Once we reach Gantun Lake, you'll have the opportunity to disembark for optional shore excursions. Take a trip to the west entrance of the canal via small ship or train, explore Panama's dense rainforests, teeming with over 1,000 animal species, or visit an Embera Indigenous village in Chagres National Park.

B, L, D

Day 10

Limon, Costa Rica
Limon Province in Costa Rica features a lush tropical climate, banana plantations, and dense rainforests, with a sparse population mostly near Puerto Limon. Eco-tourism thrives due to conservation, while Afro-Caribbean flair-Jamaican speech, reggae, and colorful bungalows-adds zest to this heavenly slice.

Day 12

Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (Water Taxi to shore)

Columbus named the Caymans "Las Tortugas" in 1503 for their abundant turtles, but "Caimanas," a Carib word, stuck fitting for islands once home to pirates. Today, Grand Cayman offers white-sand beaches, coral gardens, and shipwrecks, blending natural beauty with a high standard of living. Swimming with stingrays at Stingray City is a hugely popular attraction for visitors. Note: As an anchorage port, passengers tender to shore, with possible pier changes affecting tour times.
