Day 1

Fly to Boston

Explore the history and sites during the fall foliage season as we visit Boston, Cape Cod, New York City and Philadelphia. Get acquainted dinner this evening.

Day 2

Boston City Tour/Lexington/Concord

Today a local guide will take us on a Boston tour that will include the Back Bay district with its beautiful brownstones, Beacon Hill and the gold domed state house, Boston Common, America's first public park and the Public Garden. Also included is the Old Statehouse, where the Declaration of Independence was first read along with the Old North Church. Next, cross the Charles River to the city of Cambridge where we tour Harvard University. The afternoon continues in Lexington and Concord where we learn about the start of the American Revolution.


Day 3

Pilgrim Hall Museum/Plymouth Rock/Cape Cod

Travel takes us to Plymouth, home of our Pilgrim Fathers and one of the country's first settlements. We'll take time for a photo stop at Plymouth Rock and then visit the Mayflower 2-a reproduction of the ship that brought the Pilgrims to the New World. Arrive in Hyannis for a tour that includes the John F. Kennedy Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, Hyannis Port and a view of St. Francis Xavier Church. Time is given to explore the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum. The day is topped off with a Lobster Dinner!

Day 4

Cape Cod Seashore/Provincetown/Sand Dune Tour

Travel Old King's Highway, a scenic byway winding through centuries of Cape Cod history. View the Eastham Windmill, a Cape Cod lighthouse and visit the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitor Center. "Land's End" finds us at Provincetown-the extreme tip of the cape, where we take time to enjoy a lunch break and shopping. This afternoon, board SUV-type dune vehicles for a tour out on the protected lands of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Watch for wildlife and see the "dune shacks" where famous artists and writers worked.


Day 5

New York City/National 9/11 Memorial & Museum

We are off to the Big Apple. This afternoon we visit the 9/11 Memorial and Museum which serves as the coutry's principal institution concerned with remembering and documenting that historic day. We check into our hotel in the Times Square area late this afternoon. Enjoy a free evening in the city that never sleeps. Your tour director will assist with options.

Day 6

New York City Tour/Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island
This morning, we are greeted by a local guide who shares the highlights of New York City. See 5th Avenue, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, St. Patrick's Cathedral, UN Building, an ethnic neighborhood, Wall Street & more. We then take the ferry from Battery Park to the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island. Time will be given to see the Statue up close and to explore Ellis Island Museum which tells the stories of the immigrants who passed thru on their way to the American dream.

Day 7

Valley Forge/Independence Square

The Encampment at Valley Forge is the epic story of an army's struggle to survive not only winter of 1777-78 but also its ability to continue fighting for freedom. Featured sites include the farmhouse that Washington used as headquarters, soldiers' huts, and the Memorial Chapel & Arch. This afternoon, we visit the most historic square mile in the U.S.-Independence Square! On our walking tour we will see the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Betsy Ross House, Christ Church and more. We'll end our day with a colonial style dinner at the historic City Tavern which was established in 1773 and was declared as "the most genteel tavern in America" by John Adams.

Fly Home

It's time to pack up our bags and some great memories as we venture to the Philadelphia airport for our return flight home.

Changes in Itinerary The order of events and hotels scheduled in your tour are subject to change. Every effort will be made to preserve the original quality of attractions and hotels when circumstances necessitate a substitution.


Changes in Tour Price Tour prices in this publication are effective as of September 15, 2016 and subject to fluctuation due to the U.S dollar exchange rates and energy rates. Our best effort has been made to publish this information as accurately as possible. The right is reserved to change tour rates as deemed necessary by current currency and fuel price conditions. Due to the volatility of airfares and flight schedules, tour utilizing air transportation are subject to change both in price and routing.


Baggage Allowance Portage for one suitcase (per person) is included in the tour price. Due to limited motor coach capacity, your single bag should have dimensions not exceeding 30" x 21" x 11" and weigh no more than 50 lbs. Small carry-on bags are allowed and are your responsibility. Most airlines assess a baggage fee. This fee is not included in the tour price and is paid for at airport check-in.


Special Needs Travelers needing special assistance must notify Allied Tours at the time of booking. Persons requiring assistance must be accompanied by a companion who can help with these special needs as tour directors and drivers have obligations to the whole group.
