Day 1

Fly to Jacksonville or Orlando, FL

Join us for a trip to discover the Golden Isles of Georgia. It's here fifty-three prominent Jekyll Island Club members created an exclusive gilded era island retreat for family and friends on Georgia's coast. Experience all the royalty of these islands with Allied Tours on our Golden Isles tour.

Day 2

Driftwood Beach/Georgia Sea Turtle Center/Lunch at Jekyll Island Resort Club/Brunswick Actors Theater

After breakfast, a local guide will take you on a Jekyll Island tour. Enjoy the moss draped Live Oaks and spectacular Driftwood Beach where the beautiful driftwood and trees that resemble a tree graveyard will amaze you. You will want to bring your cameras to remember this unique spot! Next learn how the Georgia Sea Turtle Center cares for its sea turtle patients. Join the ranks of the rich and famous during lunch at the Jekyll Island Club Resort. Then discover how these empire builders, including the Rockefellers and Vanderbilts, shaped our nation's future on a narrated tram tour after lunch. This evening enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and an entertaining performance at the Brunswick Actors' Theatre.

Day 3

Tour St. Augustine/Free time

Today visit our nation's oldest European established city, St. Augustine, Florida founded by the Spanish in 1565. A trolley tour will acquaint you with this historic city's interesting past, trivia and humorous tales. Continue to explore St. Augustine on your own with a hop on/off trolley pass during your free time. Have dinner at a local restaurant before returning to Jekyll Island.

Day 4

Tour St. Simons Island/Shrimp Boat Excursion

This morning visit St. Simons Island. Beloved by famous author Eugenia Price, learn the history of the Island with a local guide. Explore the charming Pier Village overlooking the Brunswick River and out to the Atlantic Ocean. Try some sweet Georgia Shrimp at one of the cafes for lunch on your own before crossing the causeway to Brunswick for a shrimp boat cruise. Captain Larry Credle and crew will plow the marshlands, dragging a net, and pull in wild Georgia white shrimp, stingrays, horseshoe crabs the size of tennis rackets, baby hammerhead sharks, or maybe a cannonball jellyfish. They'll tell us all about what is caught and even give us a chance to hold some of them. This evening dine at a local favorite restaurant.

Day 5

Ameila Island/Fernandina Beach/Island Sightseeing Cruise

Rise and shine! After breakfast visit beautiful Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island. Amelia Island is the only place in America where eight different flags have flown. Explore the eclectic shops and local eateries. During our 2-hour sightseeing cruise hear the rich history of Amelia and Cumberland Island with views of wildlife along the way. Cruise by Fernandina's shrimp boats, historic Old Towne and Ft. Clinch, and maybe see the wild horses of Cumberland Island. Historians will share the colorful stories that define the character of this unique part of the world. Back on Jekyll Island, gather for one last evening for our farewell dinner.

Travel Home

Enjoy a leisure morning and breakfast before departing for the airport homeward bound with golden smiles and golden memories of you Allied vacation.

Changes in Tour Price Tour prices in this publication are effective as of August 1, 2017, and subject to fluctuation due to the U.S dollar exchange rates and energy rates. Due to the volatility of airfares and flight schedules, tour utilizing air transportation are subject to change both in price and routing.  


Changes in Itinerary The order of events and hotels scheduled in your tour are subject to change. Every effort will be made to preserve the original quality of attractions and hotels when circumstances necessitate a substitution.


Baggage Allowance Portage for one suitcase (per person) is included in the tour price. Due to limited motor coach capacity, your single bag should have dimensions not exceeding 30" x 21" x 11" and weigh no more than 50 lbs. Small carry-on bags are allowed and are your responsibility. Most airlines assess a baggage fee. This fee is not included in the tour price and is paid for at airport check-in.  


Special Needs Travelers needing special assistance must notify Allied Tours at the time of booking. Persons requiring assistance must be accompanied by a companion who can help with these special needs as tour directors and drivers have obligations to the whole group. See your current tour book for details of customer responsibility.


Church and Faith We encourage you to attend the church of your choice while on tours if conditions allow. Unfortunately, we are unable to make any special provisions or transportation to attend church. Many tour directors share "Thoughts of the Day" verses of inspiration, or a short prayer to start the day.
