Day 1

Fly to Switzerland
Today you'll depart the USA on your overnight flight to Zurich, Switzerland.

Day 2

Zurich to Luverne, Switzerland
Upon arrival in Zurich, transfer to your hotel in Lucerne to begin your Swiss adventure. The afternoon is at leisure to begin discovering your beautiful new surroundings. This evening, join your Mayflower representative and traveling companions for an included dinner at the hotel.

Lucerne
After breakfast, an include walking tour highlights the city's landmark, the famous 14th-century chapel Bridge with its paintings of heroic town events, that crosses the Reuss River. See the 17th-century Renaissance Town Hall and town squares, all set amongst the beautiful backdrop of the Swiss Alps. The reminder of the day is at leisure.

Lucerne--Basel
Before departing for your ship in Basel, the day is free to enjoy at leisure or join the morning optional excursion to Mt. Pilatus--a mountain overloooking Lucerne that offers a unique alpine experience! This afternoon, ravel by motorcoach to Basel, Switzerland for embarkation of your Emerald Cruises luxury Star-ship. This eveing, join your fellow travelers for dinner onboard.

Breisach, Germany
Today you have a choice of actibities. Visit a typical Black Forest Village, full of charm, cuckoo clocks and other German specialties. See demonstrations of traditional handicrafts, each offering a glimpse into rural life in the forest. Learn how the famous Black Forest cake is made and enjoy a sampling of this local treat. Alternatively, take part in a guided hike along some of the Black Forest trails.

Day 6

Strasbourg, France
Once docked in Kehl, coaches await to take you across the river to Strasbourg, the capital city of the Alsace Region in France. The guided walking tour takes you along narrow lanes and across footbridges as you discover the Grand Ille, the historical city centre and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known for its medieval black and white timber-framed buildings, picturesque le Petite France, old tanning houses, canals and river locks, the city's star attraction is the ornate cathedral, dominating the main square. This afternoon, the city is yours to explore at leisure.

Manheim/Heidelberg, Germany
Relax onboard as the vessel cruises along the Rhine River to Mannheim, docking site for Heidelberg. Travel by coach to Heidelberg, home of the oldest university in Germany. The guided walking tour takes you through the cobblestone streets of the medieval city where you see the highlights and enjoy a wine-tasting before returning to the ship. Allternatively, hike from Mount Konigstuhl to Heidelberg.

Koblenz, German
Cruise to the 2000-year-old town of Koblenz, situated at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle Rivers. Enjoy a walking tour through the streets of the city as your guide points out historic monuments and buildings. Panoramic views await from the visit to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, reached by cable car, crossing the river!

Cologne, Germany
Continue cruising slong the Rhine River to Cologne. Founded by the Romans, the city is one of Germany's oldest and is famous for its magnificent UNESCO World Herigate-listed gothic cathedral. Join your local guide for an included walking tour of the city, touching on the historical charm of the Old Town and its Roman history. Traverse the quaint alleyways and see historic monuments alongside modern architecture. The tour concludes at the cathedral, whose twin spires dominat the skyline. This evening, back onboard, join your Captain for a farewell reception and dinner.

Amsterdam, the Netherlands
This morning, depart by coach for an included visit to the world-famous Keukenhof Gardens. Discover why it's called the "Garden of Europe" as you wander along the paths, admiring gorgeous flowers at the peak of tulip season. Unique flower shows in the pavilions along with clorful, artisti floral displays throughout the manicured garden, are sure to please! Return to the ship in the afternoon to explore the city of Amsterdam at your leisure.

Fly from Amsterdam back to USA
Bid 'auf wiedersehen" to Europe and return home with memories of life enriching experiences from your European adventure and cruise along the rhine River during tulip time.

ACTIVITY LEVEL 4:  Requires above-average physical activity.  You should be able to walk distances and be physically fit to fully enjoy the tour.  Walking surfaces may be uneven on some tours, and there may be occasional early morning or evening activities.

HOW TO MAKE A RESERVATION 

Reserving your place on an Allied tour is as simple as 1-2-3

3. Send your deposit. The deposit is required within seven days of making your reservation. Please see additional information for deposit amounts. You will receive a confirmation of your deposit once your payment is received.

FINAL PAYMENT 

Final payment is due 95 days prior to departure, or as stated on your deposit statement.

TRAVEL INSURANCE 

We recommend travel insurance to protect your payments from cancellation fees. Your trip investment is worth protecting, and travel insurance is the best way to safeguard against unexpected events that can prevent you from traveling and being assessed significant cancellation, interruption, medical, or other fees. TRAVEL PROTECTION PLAN (TPP):  MUST BE PURCHASED AT TIME OF DEPOSIT!

*Cruise tour priced from $5001 and up. . . TPP is $569

This nonrefndable fee will provide a refund to you during the instance that you have to cancel your trip.  The cancellation has to be for a covered reason (see Plan for details on coverage) and we have to be notified at least one day prior to departure.  If you must leave the tour early due to personal illness or the illness or death of an immediate family member, TPP will provide a refund for any unused services after the dearture of the tour.  Other benefits include medical expenses for illness and injury, emergency transprotation, 24-hour hote line and lost or stolen baggage assistance.  Return air transportation is include ONLY if your air tickets are puchased throught Mayflower Cruises & Tours.  Please review the plan for details on coverage. 

 

DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED:  

 

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL -- Please send copy of passport to Allied office within two weeks of making your reservation.

A valid U.S. passport book that is good (6) months from the date of your return is required for most international tours. Some countries require more months of validity. Passport and VISA acquisition costs are the responsibility of the traveler. Countries may deny entry due to past criminal or misdemeanor offenses. 

**Proof of vaccination is required at time of this posting, and/or PCR testing is also required.  Details will be given closer to time of depature.

FINAL DOCUMENTS 

Travel documents will be sent approximately two weeks before departure, provided full payment has been received. The documents will include a detailed itinerary, departure times and locations, hotel lists, medical forms, luggage tags, and other helpful information. 

 

CHANGES IN TOUR PRICE  

Tour prices in this publication are effective as of October 1, 2021, and are subject to fluctuation due to the U.S. dollar exchange rates and energy rates. Our best effort has been made to publish this information as accurately as possible. The right is reserved to change tour rates as deemed necessary by current currency, fuel price fluctuations, taxes, typographical errors, or other reasons, etc. Due to the volatility of airfares and flight schedules, tours utilizing air transportation are subject to change both in price and routing. Submitting your deposit is an acknowledgment of your agreement to these terms. 

 

CHANGES IN ITINERARY  

The order of events and hotels scheduled on your tour are subject to change. Every effort will be made to preserve the original quality of attractions and hotels when circumstances necessitate a substitution. 

 

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE  

Portage for one suitcase (per person) is included in the tour price. Due to limited motorcoach capacity, your single bag should have dimensions not exceeding 30” x 21” x 11” and weigh no more than 50 lbs. Small carry-on bags are allowed and are your responsibility. Most airlines assess a baggage fee. This fee is not included in the tour price and is paid for at airport check-in. *Baggage handling included at hotels where available 

 

INSPIRATION & FAITH  

Due to tour schedules, we are unable to make any special provisions for worship services. Many tour directors share a “Thought for the Day,” verses of inspiration, or a short prayer to start the day. 

 

SPECIAL NEEDS 

Travelers needing special assistance must notify Allied Tours at the time of booking. Persons requiring assistance must be accompanied by a companion who can help with these special needs as tour directors and drivers have obligations to the whole group. See your current tour book for details of customer responsibility.

Allied Tours, Inc. (AT) acts only as an agent for suppliers. AT is not responsible for acts or omissions of the suppliers or their failure to provide services or adhere to their schedules & assumes no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity, & can accept no liability for losses or personal injury or property damage, or additional expenses due to delay or changes in the bus or other services, sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine, terrorism, or other causes. All such losses or expenses will have to be borne by the passenger. The right is reserved to accept or withdraw any tour if circumstances require it. AT reserves the right to make any changes for the benefit of the tour and/or tour members, including canceling the tour if necessary. AT or property owners are not liable for any loss/damage to vehicles parked at departure locations. All baggage is at the owner’s risk. The purchase of baggage & travel insurance covering cancellation, interruption, medical, baggage, etc., is recommended. The issuance and acceptance of tickets/vouchers or the payment of the required deposit or any partial or full payment for reservations on these trips shall be deemed to be consent to these conditions. No refund or unused portions of the tour can be made unless agreed to prior to the departure of the tour. The usual contract in use by the airlines and other transportation companies, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the purchaser of the tour and/or the passenger. The services of any ARC and/or IATAN carrier may be used on this program. AT has no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of the suppliers or unsafe conditions or climate of locations to which you may travel. You assume full responsibility for checking & verifying any & all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of your destination(s) & all conditions regarding health, safety, security, political stability, and labor or civil unrest at such destination(s). Passengers hereby release AT from all claims arising out of any problem covered in these paragraphs & agree that the courts In Madison Co., NE will be the exclusive jurisdiction for all claims brought by you or AT.
