Travel Day / Arrive in Southern California

Welcome to the Grandaddy of parades, the 134th Tournament of Roses Parade, featuring the beautiful pageantry and tradition of magnificent floral floats, high-stepping equestrians and sprinted marching bands. For four nights, stay at the Renaissance Long Beach Hotel. Join your Tour Manager tonight for a welcome orientation.

Day 2

Los Angeles Sightseeing Tour and Academy Museum of Motion Pictures

Today a local guide conducts a tour of Los Angeles and Hollywood. From the Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral to the Disney Concert Hall, home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, the tour is a blend of old and new See in Hollywood Bowl, Kodak Theater and the legendary Grauman's Chinese Theater. In the afternoon a visit to the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures is planned. Here, the collection of film-related objects and technology is highlighted by a vast range of still and moving images covering the history of motion pictures.

Day 3

Rose Parade Float Building and New Year's Eve Festivities

This morning, go behind the scenes in Pasadena for the Rose Parade Float Building. See the floats being built up close by the hundreds of people working to finish their floats. Marvel at the thousands of various flowers from around the world that were used to create the world's most imaginative floats. Join an optional excursion to the Ronald Regan Presidential Library which chronicles the storied career of Ronald Reagan which spanned more than five decades. This evening, ring in the New Year with your newfound friends at a private New Year's Eve gala event. Put on your dancing shoes as a live orchestra fills the room with sounds from yesterday and today. Enjoy the spectacular dinner and champagne roast to celebrate the dawning of a New Year.

Day 4

134th Tournament of Roses Parade

The event you came for is about to begin. You have reserved bleacher seats along Colorado Boulevard and after breakfast you depart for the Tournament of Roses Parade. View the animated floats, the precision of the marching bands and the equestrian teams as you become part of an event that is seen throughout the world by millions. Later, travel north up the coast to the pretty town of Santa Monica. Here, there is time to explore the exciting and lively entertainment. Tonight, your farewell dinner is in Santa Monica hosted by your Tour Manager.

Homeward Bound

Your transfer from the hotel to the airport is included for your flight home. Your Tour Manager will help you with arrangements to Omaha Eppley Airports

•60-31 Days........................ 20% of the Total Cost  

•30-15 Days.........................30% of the Total Cost  

•14-1 Day prior......................40% of the Total Cost

•Day of departure or early departure of tour....100% of tour cost. No refund of unused portion.

 

 

TOUR INCLUSIONS: 

Motorcoach transportation, airfare, cruises, and rail transportation as stated in the itinerary, hotel accommodations, all admissions and meals per itinerary, all taxes for included items, gratuities for step-on guides and wait staff (for included meals), luggage handling at hotels when available, and services of a professional tour director (see cruises and International tours for tour director minimums).  

Not included on the motorcoach, cruises, rail, fly-in, and International tours are meals not listed in the itinerary, optional tours, travel insurance, room incidentals, alcoholic beverages, luggage fees assessed by airlines, items of personal nature, gratuities for tour director, driver, rail or cruise staff, required documentation for air tours, tours entering Canada/International travel, government fees, passport & VISA fees, airport departure taxes, any vaccination fees/requirements, and other miscellaneous fees. 

 

SMART PHONES: 

Some tours may require the use of a smartphone.  It could be for digital tickets to a sporting event, an app used by a cruise line, or the app to cross the Canadian border.  Check with the reservationist to see if a smartphone is required on your tour.   

 

HOW TO MAKE A RESERVATION:

3. Send your deposit. The deposit is required within seven days of making your reservation. Please see additional information for deposit amounts. You will receive a confirmation of your deposit once your payment is received. 

 

FINAL PAYMENT:

Final payment is due 45-90 days prior to departure, or as stated on your deposit statement.

DOMESTIC AIR TOURS:  

A government-issued photo I.D. (i.e., driver’s license or passport) is required for all tours utilizing air transportation within the United States and selected motorcoach tours. Allied requests a copy of your license to confirm hassle-free flight travel.

 

FINAL DOCUMENTS: 

Travel documents will be sent approximately two weeks before departure, provided full payment has been received. The documents will include a detailed itinerary, departure times and locations, hotel lists, medical forms, luggage tags, and other helpful information. 

 

CHANGES IN TOUR PRICE: 

Tour prices in this publication are effective as of October 1, 2022, and are subject to fluctuation due to the U.S. dollar exchange rates and energy rates. Our best effort has been made to publish this information as accurately as possible. The right is reserved to change tour rates as deemed necessary by current currency, fuel price fluctuations, taxes, typographical errors, or other reasons, etc. Due to the volatility of airfares and flight schedules, tours utilizing air transportation are subject to change both in price and routing. Submitting your deposit is an acknowledgment of your agreement to these terms. 

 

CHANGES IN ITINERARY:  

The order of events and hotels scheduled on your tour are subject to change. Every effort will be made to preserve the original quality of attractions and hotels when circumstances necessitate a substitution. 

 

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE:  

Portage for one suitcase (per person) is included in the tour price. Due to limited motorcoach capacity, your single bag should have dimensions not exceeding 30” x 21” x 11” and weigh no more than 50 lbs. Small carry-on bags are allowed and are your responsibility. Most airlines assess a baggage fee. This fee is not included in the tour price and is paid for at airport check-in. *Baggage handling included at hotels where available 

 

INSPIRATION & FAITH:  

Due to tour schedules, we are unable to make any special provisions for worship services. Many tour directors share a “Thought for the Day,” verses of inspiration, or a short prayer to start the day. 

 

SPECIAL NEEDS: 

Travelers needing special assistance must notify Allied Tours at the time of booking. Persons requiring assistance must be accompanied by a companion who can help with these special needs as tour directors and drivers have obligations to the whole group. See your current tour book for details of customer responsibility.
