Welcome to New York! Board your luxury motor coach and begin your vacation heading to the Hudson River Valley. Arrive at the Hampton Inn, Poughkeepsie, and receive a warm welcome by your local step-on-guide. Take time to freshen up before enjoying a delicious dinner together.

FDR PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY/ CULINARY INSTITUTE OF AMERICA LUNCHEON/WALKWAY OVER HUDSON & CHOCOLATE/WINE PAIRING

After breakfast, set off with your Step-On Guide to explore the many treasures this area has to offer. Enjoy a private VIP tour of the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library & Museum! Midday, arrive at the Culinary Institute of America for a delicious luncheon created by their aspiring Chefs, followed by a guided tour! This afternoon,
stretch your legs on the Walkway over the Hudson. Enjoy a guided tour of this historic railroad bridge and the world’s longest pedestrian bridge featuring stories about the past, present, and future of the Walkway! Then enjoy a special and lively Chocolate and Wine pairing with the award-winning Chocolatier, Oliver Kita. Tonight, enjoy dinner on your own in the charming village of Rhinebeck.

VANDERBILT ESTATE & HUDSON RIVER CRUISE

Enjoy breakfast before setting out with your Step-On Guide for another day exploring the Hudson River Valley. Begin with a visit to the Vanderbilt Mansion, one of the region’s oldest Hudson River Estates and a superb example of wealth during the Gilded Age. Enjoy free time for shopping and lunch on your own in Kingston before embarking on a 2hr scenic afternoon cruise on the Hudson River. Enjoy views of the Hudson River Lighthouses, waterfront mansions, and other remarkable sites. This evening, enjoy a delicious dinner while admiring beautiful views of the Hudson River

WEST POINT TOUR & NEW YORK CITY DINNER CRUISE

After breakfast, head across the river to West Point where we’ll meet your Step-On Guide for a rolling tour of The United States Military Academy, the oldest Military school and the nation’s oldest continuously occupied military post. Enjoy stops at Trophy Point and the Cadet Chapel. This afternoon, continue to New York City and check into the Hotel Edison, located in the heart of Manhattan for a three night stay. Take time to settle in before enjoying a scenic Dinner Cruise around Manhattan

Day 6

DAY 6 MID TOWN MANHATTAN TOUR & NBC STUDIO TOUR

Enjoy breakfast and then depart with your local Step-On Guide for a tour of Mid-town Manhattan, driving by the Empire State Building, Time Square’s Theater District, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, Radio City Music Hall, and much more! This afternoon, venture over to Rockefeller Center and enjoy a tour of the Famous NBC Studios,
followed by a visit to Top of the Rock for spectacular views of the city! Enjoy an early dinner on your own and the option of attending one of Broadway’s hit musicals.

Day 7

STATUE OF LIBERTY CRUISE, 9/11 MEMORIAL, LOWER MANHATTAN TOUR

After breakfast, leave with your Step-On Guide to Battery Park to board the Statue Cruises ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Enjoy your time exploring
these historic sites. Early afternoon, return to Battery Park and visit The National September 11 Memorial Museum, which tells the story of 9/11 through media, narratives, and a collection of monumental and authentic artifacts, presenting visitors with personal stories of loss, recovery, and hope. Then enjoy touring through Lower Manhattan to include Greenwich Village, So Ho, China Town, Little Italy, and Wall Street, home to the NY Stock Exchange, Washington Square, Saint Paul’s Chapel, and Trinity Church. This evening, enjoy dinner together at one of the city’s great restaurants!

DEPART FOR HOME

Enjoy breakfast this morning before returning to the airport for our departure home, taking along many wonderful memories and stories of your vacation to the Hudson River Valley and New York City!

Not included on the motorcoach, cruises, rail, fly-in, and International tours are meals not listed in the itinerary, optional tours, travel insurance, room incidentals, alcoholic beverages, luggage fees assessed by airlines, items of personal nature, gratuities for tour director, driver, rail or cruise staff, required documentation for air tours, tours entering Canada/International travel, government fees, passport & VISA fees, airport departure taxes, any vaccination fees/requirements, and other miscellaneous fees.

3. Send your deposit. The deposit is required within seven days of making your reservation. Please see additional information for deposit amounts. You will receive a confirmation of your deposit once your payment is received.

For your convenience, we have two options: the Cancellation Protection Plan (CPP) or the Travelex 360 Group Insurance Plan. You can choose one or the other. They are not required for travel, but optional.

Cancellation protection is not insurance and is provided by Allied Tour & Travel, but a simple plan to protect you from losing funds if you must cancel. See brochure for details. This covers cancellation only. No coverages apply after the tour starts.

FINAL DOCUMENTS 

Travel documents will be sent approximately two weeks before departure, provided full payment has been received. The documents will include a detailed itinerary, departure times and locations, hotel lists, medical forms, luggage tags, and other helpful information. 

 

CHANGES IN TOUR PRICE  

Tour prices in this publication are effective as of October 1, 2022, and are subject to fluctuation due to the U.S. dollar exchange rates and energy rates. Our best effort has been made to publish this information as accurately as possible. The right is reserved to change tour rates as deemed necessary by current currency, fuel price fluctuations, taxes, typographical errors, or other reasons, etc. Due to the volatility of airfares and flight schedules, tours utilizing air transportation are subject to change both in price and routing. Submitting your deposit is an acknowledgment of your agreement to these terms. 

CHANGES IN ITINERARY  

The order of events and hotels scheduled on your tour are subject to change. Every effort will be made to preserve the original quality of attractions and hotels when circumstances necessitate a substitution. 

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE  

Portage for one suitcase (per person) is included in the tour price. Due to limited motorcoach capacity, your single bag should have dimensions not exceeding 30” x 21” x 11” and weigh no more than 50 lbs. Small carry-on bags are allowed and are your responsibility. Most airlines assess a baggage fee. This fee is not included in the tour price and is paid for at airport check-in. *Baggage handling included at hotels where available 

INSPIRATION & FAITH  

Due to tour schedules, we are unable to make any special provisions for worship services. Many tour directors share a “Thought for the Day,” verses of inspiration, or a short prayer to start the day. 

SPECIAL NEEDS 

Travelers needing special assistance must notify Allied Tours at the time of booking. Persons requiring assistance must be accompanied by a companion who can help with these special needs as tour directors and drivers have obligations to the whole group. See your current tour book for details of customer responsibility.

Allied Tours, Inc. (AT) acts only as an agent for suppliers. AT is not responsible for acts or omissions of the suppliers or their failure to provide services or adhere to their schedules & assumes no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity, & can accept no liability for losses or personal injury or property damage, or additional expenses due to delay or changes in the bus or other services, sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine, terrorism, or other causes. All such losses or expenses will have to be borne by the passenger. The right is reserved to accept or withdraw any tour if circumstances require it. AT reserves the right to make any changes for the benefit of the tour and/or tour members, including canceling the tour if necessary. All rates are subject to change & are based on current tariffs available & current exchange rates as of October 1, 2022. AT or property owners are not liable for any loss/damage to vehicles parked at departure locations. All baggage is at the owner’s risk. The purchase of baggage & travel insurance covering cancellation, interruption, medical, baggage, etc., is recommended. The issuance and acceptance of tickets/vouchers or the payment of the required deposit or any partial or full payment for reservations on these trips shall be deemed to be consent to these conditions. No refund or unused portions of the tour can be made unless agreed to prior to the departure of the tour. The usual contract in use by the airlines and other transportation companies, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the purchaser of the tour and/or the passenger. The services of any ARC and/or IATAN carrier may be used on this program. AT has no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of the suppliers or unsafe conditions or climate of locations to which you may travel. You assume full responsibility for checking & verifying any & all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of your destination(s) & all conditions regarding health, safety, security, political stability, and labor or civil unrest at such destination(s). Passengers hereby release AT from all claims arising out of any problem covered in these paragraphs & agree that the courts In Madison Co., NE will be the exclusive jurisdiction for all claims brought by you or AT. Travelers may be photographed for the promotional purposes of AT.
