Day 1 - Travel Day
Board the motorcoach with fellow Nebraska Volleyball fans & head East to Illinois. After breaks and a lunch stop, meet the Brew Master at Engrained Brewing Company for a one-hour tour followed by dinner. Day 2 - Lincoln Day
Spend a day with our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln. Start at the Abe Lincoln Presidential Museum to take in sights & sounds from a period more than a century old. Lunch is served at historical Maldaner's, established in 1884 in the municipal district. It boasts local produce along the storied Route 66. Visit Edwards Place, which represents not only where Prominent citizens & politicians such as Lincoln were entertained but also the first meeting of Mary Todd & Abraham Lincoln on the "courting couch."
Enjoy a tour of the Illinois State Capital Building. Walk in the footsteps of the man who led the nation through the turbulent Civil War & fought for ideals & democracy. Get a glimpse into the life & stories of Abraham Lincoln, who aspired to turn the war into a "new birth of freedom." See the Great Western Railroad Station, now a private office with a public exhibit area, the site of Lincoln's Farewell Address. President Lincoln paid an unforgettable tribute to his friends & neighbors before he boarded the Presidential train for Washington D.C.
Day 3-Tours / Vball
Start out visiting the Illinois WWII Veterans Memorial, Korean War, Vietnam Veteran War Memorial, & the Purple Heart Memorial, located next to the Lincoln Tomb. Next, say farewell to Springfield, remembering those who've gone before us serving our country. We'll stop for lunch on the way to Champaign, then check into the hotel. There's plenty of time to dress in Nebraska gear and be ready for Volleyball! Food will be available at our own "tailgate" at Rigg's Brewery. Another locally sourced brewery with an exceptional background story. Rigg's is bringing in a favorite local food truck for sandwiches, pasta, salads, etc. Then it's time for some B1G Volleyball! Day 4 - Travel Day
This morning it is time to board the coach & head home after a fun weekend getaway visiting Illinois & cheering on the best Volleyball team in the nation!B

TRAVEL INSURANCE We recommend travel insurance to protect your payments from cancellation fees. Your trip investment is worth protecting, and travel insurance is the best way to safeguard against unexpected events that can prevent you from traveling and being assessed significant cancellation, interruption, medical, or other fees. FINAL DOCUMENTS Approximately two weeks prior to your departure date, you will receive your final documents. Departure times, a hotel list, detailed tour itinerary, medical form, and luggage tags will be included.
CHANGES IN TOUR PRICE Tour prices in this publication are effective as of August 20, 2022, and are subject to fluctuation due to the U.S. dollar exchange rates and energy rates. Our best effort has been made to publish this information as accurately as possible. The right is reserved to change tour rates as deemed necessary by current currency, fuel price fluctuations, taxes, typographical errors, or other reasons, etc. Due to the volatility of airfares and flight schedules, tours utilizing air transportation are subject to change both in price and routing. Submitting your deposit is an acknowledgment of your agreement to these terms.
CHANGES IN ITINERARY The events, attractions, restaurants, and hotels scheduled in your tour are subject to change based on game time. Every effort will be made to preserve the original quality of attractions and hotels when circumstances necessitate a substitution.
BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE Portage for one suitcase (per person) is included in the tour price. Due to limited motorcoach capacity, your single bag should have dimensions not exceeding 30 x 21 x 11 and weigh no more than 50 lbs. Small carry-on bags are allowed and are your responsibility.
SINGLE TRAVELERS Single travelers are guaranteed one seat on the motorcoach and may be seated next to another traveler if the tour is full.
TRAVELER CONDUCT & SPECIAL NEEDS Tours are fun, but the enjoyment of the tour is based on everyone being friendly and cooperative. Allied reserves the right to accept or decline any passenger on any tour if Allied Tour determines a passenger would be detrimental to the tour. Once a tour departs, any passenger disruptive to the group may be required to leave the tour. Expenses to return home would be the responsibility of the passenger. No refunds will be issued for unused portions of the tour. Passengers will be required to abide by local mandates to participate in activities, meals, etc.
Please notify us of any special needs at the time of reservation. We will make all reasonable efforts to assist with your travel arrangements. However, it is strongly recommended that a traveling companion come along to help with any special needs of anyone with a disability. Allied Tour Directors have responsibilities for the entire group and cant provide one-on-one care. This includes boarding of motor coaches, airplanes, cruise ships, etc., and traversing hotels, restaurants, attractions, or other personal needs, etc. Contact Allied if you have any questions.

AT reserves the right to make any changes for the benefit of the tour and/or tour members, including canceling the tour if necessary. AT or property owners are not liable for any loss/damage to vehicles parked at departure locations. All baggage is at owners risk. The purchase of baggage and travel insurance covering cancellation, interruption, medical, baggage, etc., is recommended. The issuance and acceptance of tickets/vouchers or the payment of the required deposit or any partial or full payment for reservations on these trips shall be deemed to be consent to these conditions. No refund or unused portions of the tour can be made unless agreed to prior to the departure of the tour. The usual contract in use by the airlines and other transportation companies when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the purchaser of the tour and/or the passenger. The services of any ARC and/or IATAN carrier may be used on this program. AT has no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of the suppliers or unsafe conditions or climate at locations to which you may travel. You assume full responsibility for checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of your destination(s), and all conditions regarding health, safety, security, political stability, and labor or civil unrest at such destination(s).
