Our day begins with a fascinating peek under those 19th century dresses using original undergarment artifacts from the Stuhr museum's collection. Undergarments were the foundation for the "in style" fashions such as hoops, bustles and corsets that today resemble torture devices. Undergarments also reflect function over fashion, what did the average woman wear every day and how did they deal with their very personal women's issues? After the program stroll through the stunnng Stuhr building to see how the seven million dollar renovation reflects her true beauty.

Can you guess what inspired the name KinKaider? The Michelson building has quite the past having housed many legal businesses and a few not so legal enterprises. In the day, the local constabulary routinely rounded up the working girls from the brothel upstairs and from time to time arrested gentleman and card sharks that gambled downstairs. The current establishment creates their excitement with enjoyable libations, excellent food and service. Grilled Caesar salad with chicken and garlic bread, flat bread of choice with small side salad or chicken/shrimp Alfredo with garlic bread. Choose to sample two beers or full size root beer.

While sprending time at the restaurant, Cheap Chic Centerpieces will bring easy ideas for every season or occasion. All centerpieces are easily made from what is at home or inexpensive items to buy.

After lunch, you will have time to stroll and shop "Railside", Grand Island's official downtown historic district. The antique stores are plentiful and known for their broad assortment, fair pricing and hospitality. Railside boutques carry the latest fashion trends, curvy to petite sizes, personal and household accessories, even a place designed for meditation. And the Art scene is vivid and varied from grazing at public art, meeting artists, buying art or making art.

Next, we visit the Chicken Coop. This is another example of downtown brothels, the booth backs are made from the doors off the brothel stalls upstairs. Listen to basic brewing facts and sample their root beer and cream soda made on site.

Grand Island at this moment has twenty sets of large hand painted wings adorning buildings throughout the community. "Her gift to Grand Island" is how artist Karen Neppl and owner of Studio K Gallery describes her wings. They are free, interactive public are designed for the viewer to enjoy "trying on " and perfect for selfies or photographs. Karen will serve as a step-on guide and take you to selected wings and share how they were inspired. Photo opportunities included - a great momento for the close of a wonderful touring day. Currently twenty sets of wings grace Grand Island.

On last stop of the day will be at the famous "Chocolate Bar". This will be a light evening meal. Delicious cupcakes, piece of chocolate, cucumber dill sandwich and coffee, hot chocolate or heavenly lavender tea.
