Day 2 Christmas Town at Creation Museum (B, D)
Travel today takes us just south of Cincinnati for a mid-afternoon arrival at the Creation Museum. Enjoy and learn as you explore this "walk through history" museum. See how the Bible provides an account of the beginning of all things and how science confirms biblical history. Tickets will be included to the planetarium. A turkey dinner will be enjoyed at Noah's Cafe. Then Christmas Town opens! Stroll through the museum's botanical gardens amid the breathtaking display of thousands of multi-colored lights. You'll also encounter one of the Magi, and keep an eye out for other biblical characters telling about their connection with the birth of Christ. A live Nativity rounds out the presentation of the true meaning of Christmas. A special welcome awaits us tonight at the Holiday Inn. Overnight (2) Covington, KY
Day 3 Cincinnati Union Terminal/Duke Energy Train Display/Ark Encounter (B, L, D)
Begin your day with a "Bah-Humbug" Breakfast Buffet with the "Ghost of Christmas Present" and the holiday music of Bob Ford. Cincinnati Union Terminal has recently completed a $212 million project of restoration. Guests will step back in time and experience the history of the city from the first settlers through World War II. Along the way, meet costumed interpreters to better understand and connect to history. A special attraction is the Duke Energy Train Display which has 50 locomotives, 45 color-position light signals, and approximately 300 train cars. Pair that with 1000 feet of track and this is a magnificent display. Lunch will be at the Washington Platform Restaurant and will feature Chili, Salad and more. This afternoon, travel south to The Ark Encounter. You'll enjoy plenty of time this afternoon to explore The Ark with scores of exhibits about the Flood, Noah and the animals. A Holiday Buffet at Emzara's Kitchen is included. Then a night falls, we'll encounter the wonder of Christmas enjoying an unforgettable evening of festive lights, gift shopping including an extensive fair-trade market, a stroll through Ararat Ridge Zoo and more.
Day 4 Festival of Trees/Folepi's Winter Wonderland Festival of Lights (B, D)
The " Ghost of Christmas Future" will send us off after breakfast at the hotel. Later this morning we visit the Indiana History Center for the Festival of Trees. From classic decor to downright creative, 80 elaboately decorated trees will be on display for you to enjoy. A delicious lunch will follow. Late afternoon finds us in Peoria, IL. After a break at the hotel and dinner on our own, we'll board the coach for the Festival of Lights display at Folepi's Winter Wonderland! 2019 marks the 35th year of the display which features Candy Cane Factory, lighted arched & circus animals, Space Land, Western Town and much more!
