Travel Day/Flight to Phoenix
Today we will board our fight out of Omaha and head to sunny Arizona and the beautiful Hyatt Place Scottsdale/Old Scottsdale, that we will be calling home for the next 7 days. Our hotel is in the heart of Old Scottsdale and is within easy walking distance to art galleries, shops, and local restaurants.
Musical Instrument Museum/Lunch at Farm at South Mountain/Desert Botanical Gardens
We will start our fun week at the MIM - the world's only global musical instrument museum, with exhibits featuring musical heritage, cultures, and instruments from more than two hundred countries. You will walk away understanding the powerful connections we all share through music. Lunch will be an experience in itself, as we head to the Farm at South Mountain where we will dine al fresca style in their beautiful farm setting. Then it is on to the Desert Botanical Gardens where you can explore at your own pace their many trails offering gorgeous exhibits of the diverse and amazing Sonoran Desert, including saguaros, prickly pears, agaves, and desert wildflowers.
Tortilla Flat/Dolly Steamboat Cruise/Cowboy Cookout at Saguaro Lake Ranch
This morning we will journey to Tortilla Flat, an authentic remnant of an old western town which is nestled in the Superstition Mountains. There will be time for a lite lunch (on own), as you want to leave room for our Cowboy Cookout dinner. Next we are off to catch the Dolly Steamboat where we will cruise the inner waterway learn the history of the Apache Trail & Canyon Lake, and the legend & lore of the Superstition Mountains. You may even see some big horn sheep on this 90-minute cruise. This evening our special Cowboy Cookout will be at Saguaro Lake Ranch where we should be in time for a beautiful desert sunset. The ranch is located on the banks of the Salt River, in the shadow of the Bulldog Cliffs - the perfect setting for our dinner. of the "Junior Grand Canyon".
Jerome/Merkin Vineyards & Osteria/Winetasting at Page Springs Cellars
Get ready for a spectacular day exploring the beautiful Verde Valley countryside! We will start our adventure off as we head to the historic mining town of Jerome, once a booming mining camp - now known as "The largest ghost town in America". You will have time to explore Jerome and its thriving artist community before our lunch at the charming Merkin Vineyards & Osteria, where menu items our sourced from local Arizona farms, orchards, and ranches. After our lunch it is time to sample a variety of masterfully crafted wines at Page Springs Cellars. Sit back and enjoy the beautiful and serene setting overlooking the vineyards as we learn about and sample some of these excellent Arizona wines.
Free Day to Golf, Explore, or Pool Time/Evening out at Barleen's Dinner Show
Today is yours to do as you choose. Whether it is a round of golf, exploring some of the nearby sights and attractions, browsing through the art galleries and boutiques of Old Scottsdale, or catching some sunrays poolside, the choice is yours! This evening you are in for a treat as we head to Barleen's Dinner Show at the Arizona Opry. You will enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal followed by their signature Barleen's chocolate cake. Then it is to sit back and relax as you listen to the amazing musical talents of this multi-generational family.
Heard Museum/Phoenix City Tour/Farewell Dinner at Durant's Steakhouse
Mid-morning we will head to downtown Phoenix for an entertaining day of exploring the Phoenix area's rich history, landmarks, and cultures. Our first stop will be at the Heard Museum, one of the world's finest destinations for learning about American Indian arts and cultures. Next we will enjoy a deluxe city tour of downtown Phoenix where you will get to see many highlights of the "Valley of the Sun", such as the Arizona State Capitol, Chase Field, the Heritage District, and much more. This evening we are dining at another Phoenix treasure, Durant's Steakhouse. Durant's offers a colorful history as Jack Durant opened his landmark steakhouse back in July 1950. It has been hosting well known celebrities, politicians, and athletes for over 70 years now. You will enjoy this very, special Farewell Dinner!
This morning we will be heading home with a week full of fun-filled memories. Now to plan the next vacation!

CANCELLATION PROTECTION PLAN (CPP) (Applies only to Motor Coach, Non-Sport Event, Tours Only) Tour payments can be protected from cancellation charges for a nominal fee when traveling on one of our motor coach tours. The CPP must be purchased prior to or at final payment. For complete plan information, please contact Allied or your local travel advisor.
Final Documents Approximately two weeks prior to your departure date, you will receive your final documents. Departure times, a hotel list, detailed tour itinerary, medical form and luggage tags will be included.
Changes in Tour Price Tour prices in this publication are effective as of September 15, 2020 and are subject to fluctuation due to the U.S. dollar exchange rates and energy rates. Our best effort has been made to publish this information as accurately as possible. The right is reserved to change tour rates as deemed necessary by current currency, fuel price fluctuations, taxes, typographical errors, or other reasons, etc. Due to the volatility of airfares and flight schedules, tours utilizing air transportation are subject to change both in price and routing. Submitting your deposit is an acknowledgment of your agreement to these terms.
Changes in Itinerary The events, attractions, restaurants and hotels scheduled in your tour are subject to change. Every effort will be made to preserve the original quality of attractions and hotels when circumstances necessitate a substitution.
Baggage Allowance Portage for one suitcase (per person) is included in the tour price. Due to limited motor coach capacity, your single bag should have dimensions not exceeding 30" x 21" x 11" and weigh no more than 50 lbs. Small carry-on bags are allowed and are your responsibility. Most airlines assess a baggage fee. This fee is not included in the tour price and is paid for at airport check-in.
Single Travelers Single travelers are guaranteed one seat on the motor coach and may be seated next to another traveler if the tour is full.
Inspiration and Faith Due to tour schedules, we are unable to make any special provisions for worship services. Many tour directors share a "Thought for the Day," verses of inspiration, or a short prayer to start the day.
Traveler Conduct & Special Needs Tours are fun, but the enjoyment of the tour is based on everyone being friendly and cooperative. Allied reserves the right to accept or decline any passenger on any tour if Allied Tour determines a passenger would be detrimental to the tour. Once a tour departs, any passenger disruptive to the group may be required to leave the tour. Expenses to return home would be the responsibility of the passenger. No refunds will be issued for unused portions of the tour. Passengers will be required to abide by local mandates to participate in activities, meals, etc.
Please notify us of any special needs at the time of reservation. We will make all reasonable efforts to assist with your travel arrangements. However, it is strongly recommended that a traveling companion come along to help with any special needs of anyone with a disability. Allied Tour Directors have responsibilities for the entire group and cant provide one-on-one care. This includes boarding of motor coaches, airplanes, cruise ships, etc. and traversing hotels, restaurants, attractions, or other personal needs, etc. Contact Allied if you have any questions.

AT is not responsible for acts or omissions of the suppliers or their failure to provide services or adhere to their own schedules and assumes no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity, and can accept no liability for losses or personal injury or property damage, or additional expenses due to delay or changes in bus or other services, sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine, pandemic/epidemic, terrorism, or other causes. The purchase of baggage and travel insurance covering cancellation, interruption, medical, baggage, etc., is recommended. The issuance and acceptance of tickets/vouchers or the payment of the required deposit or any partial or full payment for reservations on these trips shall be deemed to be consent to these conditions. No refund or unused portions of the tour can be made unless agreed to prior to the departure of the tour. The usual contract in use by the airlines and other transportation companies when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the purchaser of the tour and/or the passenger. The services of any ARC and/or IATAN carrier may be used on this program. AT has no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of the suppliers or unsafe conditions or climate at locations to which you may travel. You assume full responsibility for checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of your destination(s), and all conditions regarding health, safety, security, political stability, and labor or civil unrest at such destination(s). Passengers hereby release AT from all claims arising out of any problem covered in these paragraphs and agree that the courts in Madison Co., NE will be the exclusive jurisdiction for all claims brought by you or AT. Travelers may be photographed for the promotional purposes of AT.
