Cranberry Bog Tour/Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center/Cheese Outlet/Chef's Dinner

Get ready for cranberry day! Visit a family owned cranberry bog and get a first-hand look at how they grow and harvest that red little berry that tastes so good. At the Cranberry Discovery Center learn how they are developing new ways of growing, harvesting, and marketing this delicious fruit. Stop at a Wisconsin cheese outlet for a sample of a "taste of Wisconsin". This evening is reserved for a special dinner with Chef Roderique. He will prepare a gourmet meal for our group "Emeril style" and he'll even share his recipes.

Mississippi River Cruise aboard the Celebration Belle

Think Mark Twain today! Board the paddlewheeler Celebration Belle for a six-hour leisurely cruise on the mighty Mississippi from Prairie du Chien, WI to Dubuque, IA. The ship's captain will narrate the history and navigation as you journey south. You'll enjoy two delicious meals on board to include a prime rib dinner. Enjoy entertainment on board or you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful fall colors on the river.

New Melleray Abbey/Lunch at Galleria de Paco

This morning's very interesting stop is at the New Malleray Abbey where 30 monks live, work, and pray as a way of life. Wait until you learn about the product they produce. Next, step into "Little Italy" when you marvel at the paintings of the Sistene Chapel created by Polish artist Paco with spray paint. You won't believe it! Enjoy lunch at this unique restaurant. Then, it's time to head home after a relaxing and delightful cruise on the Missisippi River.

Changes in Tour Price Tour prices in this publication are effective as of September 15, 2016 and subject to fluctuation due to the U.S dollar exchange rates and energy rates. Changes in Itinerary The order of events and hotels scheduled in your tour are subject to change. Every effort will be made to preserve the original quality of attractions and hotels when circumstances necessitate a substitution.

 

Baggage Allowance Portage for one suitcase (per person) is included in the tour price. Due to limited motor coach capacity, your single bag should have dimensions not exceeding 30" x 21" x 11" and weigh no more than 50 lbs. Small carry-on bags are allowed and are your responsibility. Most airlines assess a baggage fee. This fee is not included in the tour price and is paid for at airport check-in.

 

Church and Faith We encourage you to attend the church of your choice while on tours if conditions allow. Unfortunately, we are unable to make any special provisions or transportation to attend church. Many tour directors share "Thoughts of the Day" verses of inspiration, or a short prayer to start the day.

 

Special Needs

Travelers needing special assistance must notify Allied Tours at the time of booking. Persons requiring assistance must be accompanied by a companion who can help with these special needs as tour directors and drivers have obligations to the whole group.
