It's north to Alaska! Join us as we explore beautiful Alaska. From the seaside towns of Seward and Homer to the majestic Denali National Park in the heart of Alaska, you will see a variety beautiful scenery and (hopefully) some Alaska wildlife!
Fly to Anchorage, Alaska
Transfer from Allied departure cities to Omaha for our flight to Anchorage.
Overnight Anchorage, AK
A tour orientation will introduce you to your local Alaska tour director. Then we depart Anchorage traveling south along the spectacular Turnagain Arm towards the place where Alaskans go to play-the Kenai Peninsula. Watch for beluga whales in the murky waters of the Turnagain Arm and Dall sheep playing high above on the cliffs. In Seward, board your day vessel and spend today on the water in Kenai Fjords National Park where you may view sea life in their natural habitat and hear giant pieces of ice crackle and break away into the water of Resurrection Bay. Lunch is included on our day cruise.

Travel by motor coach takes you to the central peninsula to the community of Kenai. Visit the Kenai Cultural Center located in Kenai and see the incredible display of Alaskan artifacts. Continue the journey south and see spectacular scenery like volcanoes on the far side of the Cook Inlet, lush green valleys and an array of wildflowers.

Homer Habor Tour/Free time
Fishing is a livelihood for many residents in this area and after breakfast learn about the commercial and/or sports fishing industry with a harbor walking tour. This afternoon is open for optional activities such as a flight to see the mighty brown bear, sea kayaking in Kachemak Bay, halibut fishing or sightseeing around the community.
Kenai Peninsula Visitor Center/Anchorage
Today, head north to the Kenai Peninsula Visitor Center located in Soldotna and see the world record King salmon on display. Walk down the boardwalk and search for salmon in the Kenai River and learn about the different types of salmon. A box lunch is included. Continue north and perhaps catch a glimpse of caribou or birds that migrate through this region.

Alaska Rail Dome Railcar/Denali National Park
This morning you will be transferred to the Anchorage Rail Depot where you will board a deluxe dome railcar for a scenic transfer north to Denali National Park. Breakfast and lunch are included on board. You will then have the rest of the afternoon at your leisure for optional tours such as guided hikes, flightseeing, rafting, as well as many others.

Tundra Wilderness Tour (B, Snack)
Today, travel deep into Denali National Park on the included Tundra Wilderness Tour looking for a grizzly bear, moose, caribou, sheep, and many other animals. Your local naturalist driver/guide will provide educational enhancements throughout the tour. Snack included on your tour.
Iditarod Headquarters/Anchorage Tour
Today, travel via motorcoach on a full day adventure between Denali National Park and Anchorage. Along the way, visit the Iditarod Headquarters and learn more about this great race. Arrive in Anchorage and see the sights of Alaska's largest city on a sightseeing excursion. Hear the history of Anchorage, learn about the 1964 earthquake and visit Lake Hood the world's busiest floatplane base. Closing night dinner included.

Final Documents: Approximately two weeks prior to your departure date, you will receive your final documents. Departure times, a hotel list, detailed tour itinerary, medical form and luggage tags will be included.
Changes in Tour Price: Tour prices in this publication are effective as of April 15, 2016 and subject to fluctuation due to the U.S dollar exchange rates and energy rates. Changes in Itinerary: The order of events and hotels scheduled in your tour are subject to change. Every effort will be made to preserve the original quality of attractions and hotels when circumstances necessitate a substitution.
Baggage Allowance: Portage for one suitcase (per person) is included in the tour price. Due to limited motor coach capacity, your single bag should have dimensions not exceeding 30" x 21" x 11" and weigh no more than 50 lbs. Small carry-on bags are allowed and are your responsibility. Most airlines assess a baggage fee. This fee is not included in the tour price and is paid for at airport check-in.
Church and Faith: We encourage you to attend the church of your choice while on tours if conditions allow. Unfortunately, we are unable to make any special provisions or transportation to attend church. Many tour directors share "Thoughts of the Day" verses of inspiration, or a short prayer to start the day.
Special Needs: Travelers needing special assistance must notify Allied Tours at the time of booking. Persons requiring assistance must be accompanied by a companion who can help with these special needs as tour directors and drivers have obligations to the whole group.
