Update from Alaska as of Dec. 4, 2018:
The Anchorage International Airport resumed normal operations Friday, just hours after the quake. Travelers should check with their carrier for any delays or anticipated disruption.
The state department of transportation continues to assess and repair roads and bridges. Most surface streets in Anchorage are operating normally. There are some delays and lane closures relating to repair work. Updates can be found at� dot.alaska.gov/earthquake2018/

Sternwheeler Cruise/Gold Dredge #8
A cruise on an authentic Sternwheeler Riverboat takes us along the Chena River where we learn about sled dog racing, salmon fishing, and various native customs at a recreated Athabascan Village. You'll also enjoy a tour to Gold Dredge #8 where you can try panning for gold. Enjoy a free evening.
Day 3
Fairbanks/Denali National Park
Travel by motor coach takes you on a scenic journey to the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge. This afternoon, a Natural History Tour serves as a wonderful introduction to the animals, plants and geological features found there.

Day 4
Denali/Mt. McKinley Wilderness Lodge
Our morning in Denali gives us time for optional tours such as Helicopter Tours, ATV Excursion, Whitewater Rafting and more. Then travel by coach to the south side of the park for an overnight stay at the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge. Take in the sensational views with a glass of wine in the Great Room, hear stories about climbing Denali in the Hudson Theater or roast a marshmallow at the fireside patio.

Day 5
Rail Talkeetna to Anchorage
Enjoy another leisurely morning at the base of "The Great One" or enjoy the lodge's treehouse, designed and built by Pete Nelson of Animal Planet's Treehouse Masters. Later this afternoon, transfer to Talkeetna for your Princess Rail journey to Anchorage. Onboard rail guides provide expert commentary and point out sites along the way.

Alaska Wildlife Center/Embark Ship
Travel to Whittier with a stop at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. The center is dedicated to preserving Alaska's wildlife and is a refuge for injured and orphaned animals such as moose, bear, bison, lynx, eagles and more. Board the beautiful Golden Princess.

Hubbard Glacier Scenic Cruising
Enjoy the day exploring the ship and enjoying the scenery along the face of Alaska's largest tidewater glacier, Hubbard Glacier. Princess features their "North to Alaska" Program. Taste Alaska's seafood, hear its stories, learn about its culture and meet its fascinating people with this exciting program.

Glacier Bay Scenic Cruising
Cruise the ice-studded fjords of Glacier Bay National Park for a full day as a U.S. Park Service Ranger narrates. It's a great day to be out and about on ship as you watch and listen for the infamous "white thunder" of the glaciers calving.
Day 9
Skagway
Colorful Skagway is a window into Alaska's Gold Rush history. From Skagway, fortune seekers could find the shortest route to the Klondike, but it wasn't the easiest. Take the optional White Pass Railroad which takes you to the summit at nearly 3,000 feet.
Day 10
Juneau
The state's capital city offers much to be discovered. Options include excursions to Mendenhall Glacier, salmon fishing, or take a biking, hiking, canoeing or kayaking tour.
Day 11
Ketchikan
Ketchikan is located in a rain forest! Tour options include visits to Misty Fjords National Monument, the Rainforest Wildlife Sanctuary, or a whale watching cruise. (Wheelchair access limited.)
Day 12
Inside Passage Scenic Cruising
It's our last day of scenic cruising and one last day to enjoy the pampering and service of our Princess staff.

Vancouver/Omaha/Home
Arrival in Vancouver early morning for return flight home.

Final Documents: Approximately two weeks prior to your departure date, you will receive your final documents. Departure times, a hotel list, detailed tour itinerary, medical form and luggage tags will be included. A list of shore excursions will be made available online, or will be mailed out approximately 45 days prior to departure.
Changes in Tour Price: Tour prices in this publication are effective as of September 15, 2018 and subject to fluctuation due to the U.S dollar exchange rates and energy rates. Our best effort has been made to publish this information as accurately as possible. The right is reserved to change tour rates as deemed necessary by current currency and fuel price conditions. Due to the volatility of airfares and flight schedules, tour utilizing air transportation are subject to change both in price and routing.
Changes in Itinerary: The order of events and hotels scheduled in your tour are subject to change. Every effort will be made to preserve the original quality of attractions and hotels when circumstances necessitate a substitution.
Baggage Allowance: Portage for one suitcase (per person) is included in the tour price. Due to limited motor coach capacity, your single bag should have dimensions not exceeding 30" x 21" x 11" and weigh no more than 50 lbs. Small carry-on bags are allowed and are your responsibility. Most airlines assess a baggage fee. This fee is not included in the tour price and is paid for at airport check-in.
Church and Faith: We encourage you to attend the church of your choice while on tours if conditions allow. Unfortunately, we are unable to make any special provisions or transportation to attend church. Many tour directors share "Thoughts of the Day" verses of inspiration, or a short prayer to start the day.
Special Needs: Travelers needing special assistance must notify Allied Tours at the time of booking. Persons requiring assistance must be accompanied by a companion who can help with these special needs as tour directors and drivers have obligations to the whole group. See your current tour book for details of customer responsibility.
